Good design, solid aluminum. First try did not shave smooth and clean cut, after resharpening the blade which was very easy to do, did the job. Blade can last long time and can be resharpen many times. It fits very nicely in your palm.

I really like this plane, but haven't really had an opportunity to use it except for testing it on some scrap wood. Of course, I had opportunity to use it several times last month . .. .
This is a good quality tool and comes with accessories. I did have to tighten and straighten the blade a bit but once I did that, I had no difficulty at all.
I do think I'll use this a lot in the future. The pieces are solid, and it's packaged well, although I wish it had it's own small dedicated case, which it doesn't. I want to keep the bits sharp, and I know I won't be able to if I'm stuffing it all back into a cardboard box.

Recommended, but pick up a small case, too.

This is perfect for anybody who works with wood. Purchased for hubby and at an amazing price. It comes with different bits and it can be changed out. It comes with the Allen wrench to change it with ease. It has a level on on end so you know it's leveled while using. Any carpentry especially those who work with wood

Was intended for the red planing tool but thread is different, see picture.

Quality (finishing and sharpness) is much better as the red planing.

Further still can't try.

When I first used it, it left a red tint on the new wood from where the frame touches the wood. I ma...More
When I first used it, it left a red tint on the new wood from where the frame touches the wood. I may remove all this paint and wax the bare metal, for a smoother operation. Also, the adjustment knob has too much "play", and no way to keep the blade from accidently being adjusted through vibration while using the tool. I plan on adding a rubber washer to add a little tension on the adjusting nut. Two minor corrections that will make this a much better tool.
